Secant Wall Piles

Where short term water retention is required this system offers the most cost-effective and rapid solution. The wall consists of interlocking bored piles.

Secant bored pile walls are made using two types of piles: a soft unreinforced pile (female) and a hard, strong reinforced concrete pile (male). The minimum diameter of each pile in a secant piled wall can similarly start at 300mm diameter for shallow single storey excavations however, larger diameter piles are usually more appropriate for deeper excavations to ensure pile interlock.
